Giving Back / Community

At Mjach Designs, we care deeply about building community and giving back. We have worked several years with many organizations, offering and delivering pro-bono services, donations, and mentoring aspiring students.

We believe socially responsible marketing involves more than simply following legal business practices. It means identifying and advocating moral principles and social causes other businesses and nonprofits inherently practice or promote. We want to have a positive impact on our community, and being involved is the first step.

“People First” has been our mission from day one and will continue to be our focus through the life of Mjach Designs.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders

Melissa has always been passionate about giving back and supporting the next generation of leaders. Having worked hard to bring her own dreams to life, she understands the dedication, perseverance, and support it takes to succeed. She put herself through community college, an experience that not only prepared her for the business world but also gave her a deep appreciation for the impact that caring educators and practical learning can have on a student’s future.

Today, Melissa stays connected to her roots by giving back to her local community college in Frederick. Each year, she volunteers as a judge for the college’s annual Business Plan Challenge, where students develop innovative business ideas supported by comprehensive plans, including goals, SWOT analysis, and financial projections.

Melissa, alongside fellow judges, reviews and scores each submission, offering guidance, encouragement, and financial support to help students bring their visions to life. She remembers being in their shoes—when starting her own business, Mjach Designs, she was asked for a business plan during her first visit to the bank. That experience fuels her commitment to mentoring and investing in future business leaders, because she knows just how valuable that support can be.
